About Me

I’m Christian Svalander, a UX and Product Design Lead with over two and a half decades of experience helping businesses turn design into a competitive advantage. I’m passionate about using design as an advantage, increasing my clients design maturity, and using it as a strategic tool for solving problems, driving innovation, and creating real business impact.

I’ve worked across industries, from automotive HMI to SaaS startups and e-commerce, leading UX strategy, DesignOps, and product innovation. I help teams refine work and processes on solid foundations, test ideas fast, and align design with business goals to build products that people love. Aside from running this blog, I also drive Empath Design, a product and UX consultancy aiming to add humanity to tech, putting the human in the center of everything.

Great design happens when it’s baked into the process – not bolted on. I champion collaboration, experimentation, and design-led thinking to help companies scale smarter and stay ahead.

Let’s connect – because better design means better business.
